Previous call

We did not yet capture full meeting notes for call 001, but we discussed the need for a secretary and chairman role within the working group. We discussed different yield strategies, of which preference was going towards farming with stables on Solidex as it ticks the most boxes (high yield, support Ren asset liquidity, utilize and demonstrate h2h). We also discussed executing on the Fantom fee reimbursement as per RIP-000-011 as our first multisig action.

Agenda:

  • Decide recurring call time and place
  • Possibly elect Chairman and Secretary
  • Send out the cashback for renBTC mints on Fantom according to RIP-000-011
  • Discuss next steps given we have a majority of the CEF on our Ethereum multisig now

Meeting notes

  • Decide recurring call time and place

    • Bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 17 UTC
    • Wes: Can have open hours 1 hour before for community members to jump in and ask questions
    • Changes in schedule communicated in yield-ops discord chat

  • Elect Chairman and Secretary

    • Chairman role definition:
      • final say on the agenda
      • make sure meeting stays on track
      • represent the group to community
    • Secretary role definition:
      • take meeting notes
      • follow up on after-meeting actions
      • distribute agenda for next meeting
      • Manage multi-sig transaction ledger (spreadsheet)
    • Elected Renfield as Chairman
    • Elected Thomm as secretary
    • Meeting notes can be captured/collaborated on separately, and final versions published on the forum
    • In the future notes could be linked to on the command center
    • Idea: we can create a wish list for community grants for volunteers to take

  • Send out the cashback for renBTC mints on Fantom according to RIP-000-011

    • renBTC is already minted to our Fantom Safe
    • We executed a test transaction using ‘Multisender’ sending some renBTC to ourself
    • We will create the Multisender transaction to send out the mint refund in one go to all applicable addresses on Fantom
    • This will be validated asynchronously offline

  • Discuss next steps given we have a majority of the CEF on our Ethereum multisig now

    • Plan is still to move this to Solidex as USDC
    • RenBridge not ready yet but soon (maybe next week)
    • USDC pool should satisfy yield requirement based on current renBTC pool performances
    • Should also satisfy our secondary goal of supporting Ren asset liquidity
    • Max will check if the bridge will support Wallet connect in order to perform the Safe transaction
    • Otherwise Max can personally bridge the funds for us
    • No alternative strategies were proposed

  • Liberty wants to get a press release out on H2H

    • Would like a few days heads up to coordinate the press release
    • Max will coordinate will Liberty

Action items

  • We will coordinate on Discord to send out the Fantom mint refund
    • Thomm will want to verify the actual hardware signature so will need to be at least one of the signers → Thomm will remind in the chat
  • Max will pin verification explainer document on the chat
  • Co-ordinate on yield strategy execution once RenBridge is out
